Rozaline

MYSPACE | Purevolume

Brittany: Richy why don't you tell us about your band Rozaline, how you joined and what you play?
Richy: I joined the band a little over a year ago. I've been friends with the guys for a long time and one day they just asked if I wanted to jam with them. One thing led to another and here we are now. Oh, and I play bass.

Amber: Out of all of the bands songs, which is your favorite to perform live?
Richy: haha If I had to choose one, I would probably say La Chupacabra or Vu...but we have a new song that is going to be on the EP we are recording. Its really fun :-)

Brittany: So you guys are off in Arizona now at a recording school, how's that working out?
Richy: School is going well. It kind of stinks that we really haven't been able to play a lot of shows because of school, but we are recording a new CD... which I'm very excited about!

Amber: Does the CD have a name yet?
Richy: Not yet. Actually, we haven't really talked about that too much. We should probably get on that soon haha

Brittany: How do you think this new CD will differ from the one already released?
Richy: I think we have matured a lot as a band and this CD will show that. We are putting all of our individual and combined ideas into it. I just hope everyone enjoys it half as much as we do making it.

Amber: Where do you see the band in 5 or 10 years?
Richy: Wow, thats a while from now. Haha. I just hope to keep playing shows and releasing music that people can enjoy. I guess we will see what the future brings.

Brittany: When on tour what's some things you need to have with you at all times?
Richy: I like to have my laptop, ipod and cell phone. My mom calls me almost everyday. Also, we have gotten into playing Frisbee. So maybe one of those.
Richy: It might also help to have our equipment with us. Haha

Amber: How does it feel to be on stage?
Richy: It is the most amazing feeling. Its so hard to describe. For those 45 minutes, I am in my own little world doing what I love. Time seems to fly by.

Brittany: If you could tour with any 4 bands who would you pick?
Richy: Thats a toughie. There are a bunch of bands from back home that I would love to tour with. I would love to tour with As Tall As Lions or The Receiving End Of Sirens. There are so many, its hard to pick only 4.

Amber: What would be the perfect present from a fan?
Richy: I think just being a fan is the perfect present. I couldn't ask for anything else. Maybe just a hug if I HAD to choose something.

Brittany: What's the best advice you have gotten from someone about the music business?
Richy: We actually just got done taking a music business class. I dont remember the exact quote, but our teacher said something along the lines of You have to be careful in the music industry or else you will be royally "sexed upon" "

Brittany: any last words or sites or shout outs you want to say
Richy: Ummm, maybe just keep an eye out for our Cd. It should be out very soon!!
