The Tale Of

Myspace

Rachel: Introduce yourself and what you do in the band.
The Tale Of: Aaron plays guitar
Alberto Camel holds it down on the ba-bass
Anthony plays guitar
Kevin the Killer plays drums
and Ram the Mannot sings.

Rachel: How did the band form?
The Tale Of: Anthony and Kevin are brothers, Albert and Anthony were best friends since middle school and Aaron met Albert playing in a jazz band. Ram was in another band that we had played previous shows with in older bands.

Rachel: Whats the story behind the band's name?
The Tale Of: Aaron was driving with a friend that didn't like the ataris. When his friend asked, "who is this?" he said the first thing that came to mind, "The Tale Of" his friend went on to find out it was actually The Ataris and when Aaron introduced it to the rest of us, we liked it and decided to go with it since it'd leave room for our listeners to give it their own meaning.

Rachel: What are some of the band's biggest musical influences?
The Tale Of: It's everything from the lives we're living, and want to live, to Justin Timberlake & Blink 182.

Rachel: When it comes to the writing process, is there one person who does most of the writing or is it a group effort?
The Tale Of: Alot of times Aaron will bring in a skeleton and the rest of us will add on and finish up the song, but theres definitely times where its spur of the moment and the song comes together in a matter of minutes

Rachel: Pick one of your songs and tell us the meaning behind it.
The Tale Of: "Hunt or Be Hunted" is about the way people don't take responsibility for their actions and wait too long to try and make things right.

Rachel: What is your favorite song to play live?
The Tale Of: This Could Be Progress.

Rachel: If you could pick any three bands to tour with who would they be?
The Tale Of: The Starting Line, Recover & Maroon 5.

Rachel: Do you guys have any favorite places to play shows?
The Tale Of: Ridglea Theatre in Ft. Worth, TX.

Rachel: Are there any places that you want to play that you have yet to?
The Tale Of: Emo's, Chain Reaction and Madison Square Garden.

Rachel: What are your thoughts on myspace and the major impact it has had on the music industry?
The Tale Of: We think that the impact it has had is great! Millions of people have access to millions of artists and songs at any given time during the day, We know we wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for myspace and the availability we have to people all over the world.

Rachel: When its all said and done what do you want the band to be remembered for?
The Tale Of: For having our own sound and hopefully being able to connect with our listeners for at least one point in time.

Rachel: Any last words?
The Tale Of: Thank you for giving us this opportunity and wanting to put us on your website, It's websites like these that keep this scene going so there's no bigger payback than to be involved with them! =)
