Brittany: How did the band form and how did you join?
Jesse: I was an original member of the band. Our bassist Ryan asked if I wanted to start something and I said only with our guitarist Tyler and I ended up jamming at our current singer Tim's house for fun and wrote a song. From then on we've been a band, with the addition of Trevor at guitar.

Brittany: Where did the name come from?
Jesse: It's actually a lyric from an And The Rest Was Silence song. They've always been a pretty big influence of mine, since I saw them at the Crossings over a year ago. We joked around about the name for a while, and then talked to Richie[the singer] and decided to actually finalize it.

Brittany: How do you describe your sound to people who havn't heard it yet?
Jesse: It's usually hard for me to describe, a few people have said we sound a bit like Saosin and and Underoath. I guess I'd have to agree because they are some of our main influences. Mainly Underoath's 'They're Only Chasing Safety' album, considering all the sound changes they've gone through through the years, personally my favorite album!

Brittany: If you could tour with any 3 bands who would you choose?
Jesse: Well it's hard to say, because I don't know people in national acts personally. But I'd love to go with Vanna, mainly because they're a huge influence of mine and totally badass. Also Armor For The Broken, becuase those are some of the coolest dudes around and definitely And The rest Was Silence. haha dropping all the local bands!

Brittany: What are some venues that you would love to play someday?
Jesse: I've always wanted to play at either the Axis or the Avalon. They look like such sweet places to play at. Other than that as long as the kids there go crazy it doesn't matter what venue we play.

Brittany: If you had the chance to make all of your fans go out and buy one cd [besides yours] what cd would you pick?
Jesse: That's tough. I would have to say the new Vanna cd, because those dudes write some tight music and they cover a pretty big musical spectrum on it.

Brittany: How would you describe your band in 5 words?
Jesse: fun, love, sing along, brothers!

Brittany: What is the greatest piece of advice you have been given about the music business?
Jesse: The single best piece of advice I have been given is to never give up. Obviously everyone knows this but it's the truth. With a tiny bit of talent and alot of motivation you will go somewhere and the people that work the hardest go the furthest.

Brittany: How do you feel about the music scene becoming more of a fashion obsession rather than about the music?
Jesse:: I think to be successful any band has to have a certain amount of visual appeal, but it's safe to say nobody in our band is worried about trends taking over our music. we all stretch in different directions but it keeps eachother away from becoming too generic in any one area. None of the bands around here are really like that though, but some national acts are awful.

Brittany:: What are you listening to currently?
Jesse: Right now I'm listening to Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster.

Brittany: Name one song you wish your band had written or put out.
Jesse: Any song by As Cities Burn. In particular I'd have to say Terrible How Terrible For The City, because of the ridiculous amount of emotion in it.

Brittany: What's something that you have to keep with you at all times when on tour?
Jesse: Well I haven't been on a tour longer than 3 days but I'd have to say definitely bring a pillow and blanket. If you get stuck sleeping somewhere shitty then It's just awful. Hotel floors are NOT fun and that's one of the better places to stay haha.
