Burden Of A Day

Myspace.com/burdenofaday

Brittany: Tell us your name and what it is you do in the band.
Jesse: My name is Jesse Hostetler and I play Drums.

Brittany: Who came up with the name Burden Of A Day?
Jesse: It's actually kind of funny there are no original members left in the band so none of us were actually there when they came up with the name. I believe it actually came from an old hymn that one of the guys was looking through.

Brittany: How would you describe the band's sound to someone who hasn't heard you before?
Basically a mix of a bit of traditional, mixed with a lot of toe tappin’, polished off with some good old sing alongs.

Brittany: You guys just released a CD, how had that turned out?
Jesse: Yes we are very excited about this new album. We recorded it back in November with Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada). Honestly we had a blast making this record. Our biggest problem with our last album was it just felt so dull and dry and we are all about having a lot of fun so we tried our best to make this album so that anyone could listen to it and enjoy themselves. We put a lot of sing alongs into this record and hopping to hear kids singing there hearts out.

Brittany: You guys are currently touring, do you have any plans for after this tour?
Jesse: Well we actually just got home for a 2 week break. We are hitting the road again around the first part of April with Life In Your Way, Means, For Today & In Fear and Faith that tour is a 5 week tour going from East coast to the West coast. And then we are doing some festivals and after that heading out with Our Last Night and The Hottness.

Brittany: What are some of your favorite songs to perform live?
Jesse: Any of our new stuff is fresh of breath air at this moment. We had been playing the same songs for a few years straight so its nice to mix it up a bit. Some of my favorites would be "It's Lonely at the Top" or "Pt. 2 Sometimes They Do" or 'High Noon"

Brittany: Do you have any shows that stand out to you from the past?
Jesse: There is quite a few shows that have been pretty amazing. Actually recently one of the funnest for me was this little bar called Frankies in Toledo, OH we played there a few months ago on the Oh, Sleeper tour and it was so much fun. The place was so packed no one could move. I sweat so much I felt like I was going to pass out because it was so hot in there. We got to play on the Taste of Chaos tour last year in Tampa that was pretty amazing it felt like a whole different world walking into a arena playing in front of 10,000 people it was something I will never forget for sure.

Brittany: If you could put together your dream tour who would be on it?
Jesse: That's a bit of a hard question there are so many great bands that we have looked up to growing up. It would probably be Underoath, The Bled & Saosin.. Underoath being from our area I remember going to watch their shows with like a handful of kids at there shows. It would be an honor for us to play with them, and we have always been into The Bled and Saosin.

Brittany: Do you have any last words for the readers and fans?
Jesse: Thanks so much for supporting us we have the best fans in the biz. Go check out our new album "Blessed Be Our Ever After" Thanks again.
