Juliet: I'm Juliet and I tap dance for the band...jk I sing and write for the band. Brittany: When and how did the band form? Juliet: Daniel (drums), Sean (bass), and I have been playing music together growing up in FL.But we didn't officially become A.LL until a little over a year ago. Brittany: For people who have never listened to you, how would you describe your style of music? Juliet: Hmmmm Foo Fighters meets Jimmy Eat World but with a girl frontman. Brittany: What songs tend to get the best crowd response? Juliet: Hush. Makeup and Parker Brittany: Who directed the video for Hush because I love the way that came out. Juliet: A good friend of mine growing up, Luke Watson...love him. Brittany: You guys got the opportunity to play Warped Tour this year, how has that gone so far? Juliet: Unbelievable! We got bumped up to a bigger stage (hurley) so that was nice!. We've had massive crowds! And were having the time of our lives,we're all like on cloud 9. Everyone at Warped is so nice,hard working and rad. They're treating us really well:). Brittany: You have also been on some other great tours recently, who are some bands you want to tour with but haven't gotten to yet? Juliet: Hmmmm...we'd love to tour with: Story Of The Year , Angels and Airwaves , Motion City Soundtrack, My Chemical Romance, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World , Augustana,Jacks Mannequin. Come to think of it 'technically we've toured with some of the above bands thanks to warped tour. Brittany: Who are some of your bigger musical influences ? Juliet: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan,Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard, My Chem, Fleetwood Mac,Billy Joel, Elton John, Simon and Garfunkel, Glen Hansard, Coldplay, U2 , and so much more. The truth is is I get influnced by almost anything. I like a lot of music and its the liking it which influences and inspires me, if u get what I mean. Brittany: What is your opinion of the music industry right now, would you change anything if you had the opportunity? Juliet: It's got its ups and downs,soul and souless. It's been good to me so far. If I could change something about it,well I'd have better music on the radio. I miss the 90s and I'd have it where record labels listened the the artists more. Brittany: What can we expect from you after Warped Tour? Juliet: Were gonna be touring till the end of the year. First with Mest, Quiet Drive and Powerspace, and then one more but its not confirmed yet. If we get it though you'll hear about it ;) it's pretty big. Also, we're shooting a video for Makeup Smeared Eyes as soon as Warped ends so expect to see that. Brittany: Any last words for the people reading this? Juliet: I love you dearly. |
