![]() Article A Myspace.com/articlearock | Articlea.com Amber: For those who do not know much about Article A, tell them who everyone is and how the band got started? Article A is: Christian (Vocals) Joe (Bass) Evan (drums) Gary (Guitar) Article A has been playing playing shows and writing music for about 7 years now, but the current lineup has been together for four years and counting! ? Amber: Article A has a street team, how is that working out? Article A: We just started up our street team, so its still in its beginning stages (anyone out there reading this please go sign up and become a part of it!) We have some awesome leaders that are really supportive of the band and it’s new CD (in stores now, it’s called “Stay Now” ….. I know, I know, it was a shameless plug, lol) Amber: Tell us about the song "What's The Point". Article A: Ahhhh yes “What’s The Point” is the first single off of the new album, it’s a fun energetic song that talks about a situation that most people have gone through. Its about that someone who you really have deep feelings for but for some reason they don’t feel that same way, and are into someone else…. it’s like “what’s the point of having all these feelings” because you know they aren’t mutual but you still can’t just let that feeling go…. so as a whole the song is just kind of venting the frustration of that whole circle. Amber: What was the recording process like for "Stay Now" and how do you feel about how it turned out? Article A: We love how “Stay Now” turned out. The recording process for us was way more challenging than we expected, it was an awesome experience looking back on it, but it most def had it’s trying times for each guy in the band. It made us grow as musicians and songwriters, and we feel like we had to go through that to become better. Amber: Any upcoming tour plans? Article A: We are planning on doing some touring this summer, (any bands need support email us!) We just came off the road……we were on the “March on Stage” tour playing a whole bunch of Hard Rock Café’s on the east coast…. it was a lot of fun, cool cities , and we met really cool people. We also have been doing a promotional tour at highschools during the week (during school) so that was a blast…. (a little early though LOL) But check out our myspace…. myspace. com/articleArock…. we update shows weekly as they come in. Oh yeah, we will be at Bamboozle 08 this year…May4th day two…. so we are looking forward to that. Amber: What's one thing you have done but never will do again, music wise? Article A: Hmm, that’s a tough one…I guess going through the recording of our first album. It was a great learning experience but at the time was def. one of the most trying times in my musical career. Plus I’ll never have to do that again! Amber: How do you remember your fans; which ones stand out to you? Article A: I am like really really bad with names, but I usually remember faces….. so I’ll meet someone like 10 times and still forget their name…. so I guess I don’t remember them lol just kidding we try our best. We love when fans give us stuff, like pictures they took of concerts or things they made for us, so that’s def one way we remember fans. Amber: Does anyone in the band have any embarrassing moments while being on stage? Article A: Oh yeah….. Joe our bass player…. early on the band won a battle of the bands and got to play in front of 14,000 people at an arena in NJ. Well, on our last song he threw his bass up in the air and ended up tripping on some stages wires or something and fell while trying to not let his bass smash onto the stage….. it was pretty funny to watch…. we actually have it on tape somewhere. Amber: What's the best thing you have learned so far about the music business? Article A: There aren’t to many “best” things about the music business as a new artists, its a lot of going through things fr the first time…. it can be really frustrating….. ithink the theme for our band has been “hurry up and wait” Everything in music is like all or nothing….. your going like 100 miles an hour and then things just stop…. and you wait. Amber: After everything is all said and done, what do you want Article A to be remembered for? Article A: I think we would like to be remembered for great music (hopefully) and just making an impact on peoples lives, weathe it be through song or just who we are as people. I think that is our goal…. if we can positively impact your life we have done our job as artists…. and if not, Hey, we tried! ? Amber: Give people a reason to go listen to your music Article A: Good songs with cathy hooks! Enjoy! |
