Action Item
Purevolume | MYSPACE.COM

Brittany: Let us know more about yourselves and how and when you joined the band
Brian: The drummer, Dan, and I were good friends before we started playing music together. We both picked up instruments a few years ago and have been playing together since and working on various projects. We also invited our friend, Dave, who happened to play bass. Joe was brought in through Anthony. They were friends since they were little. I was friends with Brian's friend Mike and he told me they were looking for a second guitarist so I went to Dan's house one day when they were having practice and tried out. a few hours later I was in. Yeah, I knew joe since kindergarden. but yeah basically it was a chain reaction of friends lol

Brittany: How did you come up with the name for your band?
Brian: We were together for a while with a name we weren't happy with. We didn't really care and just kept writing more and more. As people began to notice us more, we thought we needed a name change. We picked "Action Item" because we feel that we wanted to be exactly that, something powerful. We want people to feel what we feel when we play our music.
Anthony: and because we sitting around wathcing fight club and someone said hey, action item would be a pretty tight name.

Brittany: How do you think your band stands out among the rest of the bands somewhat like yours?
Anthony: Well I think there's a lot. first of all, I personally think we all very talented at what we do. Joe has an amazing voice and we are all gifted at playing our instruments, second of all, we're not cocky or conceided like some other bands. Most fans we get, turn into friends. we really appreciate it when people enjoy our music
Brian: haha yeha, we really hate the whole "band complexity" and how people figure people in bands to be completely and utterly distant from the world. We're very down to earth and love talking to everyone we meet.

Brittany: Do you guys have any dream venues?
Brian: I would love to play the Trocadero in Philly, Starland Ballroom, and the Tweeter Center one day
Anthony: I would take a huge crowd anywhere lol. After going to bamboozle this year and watching bands like underoath and say anything play for 5000, and take complete control of the crowd makes me do the same thing.
Brian: I dont really mind playing outside or inside. As long as the crowd is having a great time, and it's a pretty nice size, i wouldn't be bothered by either.
Anthony: I would love to play an outside tour like warped especially because there's so much space after you play to meet and interact with fans.

Brittany: Whats your favorite song to perform?
Brian: From the demo we have up on our websites now, i'd say "alcohol is the best excuse..." because it's always a crowd pleaser. I really love playing all of our new songs though, and I can't wait for everyone to hear them. Anthony: My favorite song to perform is a new one called "You already know," that we'll be recording in January.
Brian: same for me, I'm very proud of that song and how it came out, we've changed a lot stylistically, and I honestly can't wait for everyone to hear it

Brittany: If you had the choice to tour with a few bands out there right now who would you choose?
Brian: I'd love to tour with Brand New, Say Anything, This Providence, Boys Like Girls, The Format
Anthony: I am probably the biggest Brand New fan you'll ever meet so I'd have to go with them lol

Brittany: Do you guys have any cover songs you have or would want to play in the future?
Brian: We don't like playing cover songs live actually, but if I had to choose, I'd probably play anything acoustic by Brand New

Brittany: Whats the best thing you have learned so far about the music business? Brian: : I've learned that you need to be grateful for everything you get. every person you meet matters. It's the best feeling in the world meeting new people who are interested in your music
