JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE Feb 2 2006 Took place at the Verizon Center in Washington , DC Jormery and I decided that we were going to go stand in line at the venue early. Like 9 hours too early. We were lucky enough to get the general admission floor tickets and wanted to make it all worth while! We made it into DC around 8:40 am , the show started at 7:30 pm , we walked to the venue and saw that no one was in line so we decided to just walk around the city for a while. About 40 minutes later we walked around to the other side of the Verizon Center and saw that a tour bus was there! The tour bus that had Justin Timberlake Future Sex Loveshow written on the side. We knew that this was not Justin’s bus just because it was too obvious but we were still excited and decided to take pictures in front of it. After taking a few pictures we walked down to the doors and saw there were two other crazy JT fans standing in line. We were hoping we weren’t the only crazy ones to be standing there for a little over 9 hours in the freezing 30 degree weather! The people that worked at the arena kept walking outside and kind of shooke their heads in amazement that we were there at 9am . They said we were crazy to be out there in the cold. They couldn’t believe that we came so early. Also, every person that walked passed us had to stare and be like "what are you guys waiting for?" It was funny though because people didn't realize that the seats we had were first come first serve so there WAS a reason we were sitting there so early in the cold haha At one point we saw this guy walking around in a suit, looked like a bodyguard, so we decided to talk to him. Jormery asked him if JT was here yet and he was like who's JT so she was like….umm Justin Timberlake. It was funny he was all trying to play it like he didn’t know anything. A little bit later he walks by and saw that we had a tabloid and on the cover it had Justin and Cameron and it said "Justin take me back now" or something and he read it and goes...NEVERR he said it in a hilarious voice! We were so ready to go in. We ask the staff member if cameras are allowed? He says yes, and we got all excited because that meant we wouldn’t have to sneak in our camera and risk getting caught. Then like 10 minutes before the doors opened (around 6 pm ) they post on the Door "NO CAMERAS" we were like are you kidding me? because they just said they were allowed but we weren’t too worried because a little earlier we had all planned on stuffing them in our big furry boots…perfect place! So a little after 6...doors open! We were extremely hyped up! They barely checked for our cameras NO metal detectors at all and they hardly looked through our bags. We got through fine! We all began running down the stairs.. I get yelled out by some security guy…he was like "Waaaaaaaalk" then Jormery is behind me and the guy is like "slowww down!" hahaha. And we both just start laughing. I seriously felt like I was in elementary school..getting yelled at for running down the hallway hahah it was hilarious. We made it to the FRONT and CENTER! Of course there was a small VIP section in front of us, but it was only like 2 feet between us and the stage. Before the show they had this big screen that people could send text messages and it would show up on the screen so everyone in the arena could read it! I told Jormery that we should totally send something. So Jormery texted "Jormsta and Kaista love Alex Rhyan!" We had to show some AR LOVE! So like a few minutes later it shows up on the screen! Very cool that we made Alex Rhyan a part of the JT crowd!!! A little after 7:30 the opening act, Pink makes it to the stage! She was really really GREAT! She sang alot of her older songs and acted like a complete dork, which I loved!!! Highlights of Pink: She was hilarious, When she sang "Don't let me get me" it was hilarious because of the part when she makes fun of Britney Spears. I think pretty much everyone cheered and screamed during that moment. Her vocals were amazing!. Before she sang "Stupid Girls" she was like "omgosh DC", like she would talk like a “stupid girl” it was great! She was telling everyone about her favorite dance so she decided to show us and she busted out with the Carlton [fresh prince of bell air dance move] She everyone in the crowd to do it out in the clubs or something but when you do it be serious about it, and show it off haha During the finale, she did this "cirque du soleil" acrobatic type thing where she was hanging on this pink rope/ribbon thing that was hanging from the ceiling It was seriously one of the coolest things I've seen at a concert! She ended up, getting up and spinning around on it for a while and when she got off she couldn't walk. It was definitely some funny stuff! After Pinks set, we were started talking to the security guards. We asked if we could take pictures, and that moment flashes were going all around, and he's like "you know look around us, I say you paid for this show, you take as many pics as you want, I'm not gonna take your camera away" and he also said that they weren’t told that we cant have them so go for it. We got sooo excited I mean because we were RIGHT there in front! He said that because his boss was telling him to take cameras away. It was funny they kept pretending they didn't see a thing they were all so nice, and than they would move away, if we wanted to take a picture they would turn their heads so they didnt "see" our flash. One of them even took a pic of the four of us who stood in line since 9am lol (Jormery, me, Melissa and Heather) So now it was the time we had all been waiting for!!! JT!!!!! We were soo ready for this moment! We just kept staring at each other and screaming!! A bunch of woo hooo's! I love you Justin!!!!!! and Ahhhhhhhhh’s! You name it we probably screamed it hahaha The wait wasn't long, then we hear "future, sex lovesound" and it kept getting faster and faster...we're LIKE AHHHHHHHHHHHH! He's coming!!!!!! And the lights turn off, and we freak out and then we see JT pop up in the middle of the stage. We could not stop screaming! He started out in the middle of the stage kind of far away then out of no where he jumps down and heads our way.. That moment was def the most amazing thing EVER. I wanted to take so many pictures but at the same time I could not take my eyes off of him. I mean JUSTIN was like 2 feet from me! Jormery and I were both screaming so much! He was just so amazing, I loved every minute, every second, every half second of that SHOW! We can proudly say, that we have seen Justin Timberlake up close and all, this man has the most amazing talent ever! I never thought I would be that close to him! I mean he could SEE us...look us in the eyes and HE DID! Justin would always come up and sing right in front of me and Jormery because were seriously front and center! We just couldn't believe that JT was right in front of us! We just couldnt get passed that. I mean he was doing his dancing right there!!! All of his dancers were incredible! Timbaland showed up a few songs before the intermisson it was so awesome!!! We couldn't see him up close, because he only went of the sides. But a him and JT sang quite a few songs together. During intermission a DJ was on stage mixing a few of songs that Timbaland had worked on with various artists! They also made a tribute to Aaliyah which was really great! When Justin came back to the stage he talked about how he spent his day off (Thursday Feb 1st ) in DC, and that he visited the "Walter Reed" hospital (the hospital for the hurt soldiers) and he talked about how it changed his life. He and his band members decided to make a toast to them and asked everyone to participate then they all took a shot! It was so funny JT made the funniest face after putting down the shot and hurried and grabbed a lemon! hahaha I loved it! After the show was “over” he came back on to do an encore. When he came back to the stage he had a coffee cup with something in it was probably tea because when he was talking to us his voice sounded all hoarse. He started talking and not paying attention and puts his cup on the piano and it falls and starts spilling all over the piano. The cup makes this clinging sound as it hit the keys hahaha it was greatness haha. He was like “uh oh that's not good” something like that. He grabs a towel and starts cleaning LOL It was hilarious! Also, after the show his drummer was walking around the VIP section and since we were right there we met him a back up vocalist I think it was. Last thoughts... "def one of the best shows ive been too, the entire show was completely packed full of energy from pinks performance to JTs performace and even the intermission, it was unbelievable! i never dreamed i would be THAT close to JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, it was def a once in a lifetime experience and i would have done anything different...except maybe become more prepared to take pics LOL " Kaila "I have the chills just thinking about this experience if I could go back to this day, I would in a hearbeat I miss it so much. It was the best show I've been to, well next to my Enrique Iglesias show too. And as for the rest, you know how I feel look at my review lol" Jormery Thanks so much for reading this review!
