Artist: Simple Plan
Album: Simple Plan
Release Date: 2-12-2008
Label: Lava/Atlantic

February 12th, 2008 will mark the release of one of the most anticipated albums of the year: Simple Plan. It’s been about four years since we’ve heard from Simple Plan and this self-titled third record is slated to be their best yet. Hit making producers such as Max Martin and Nate “Danja” Hills bring to light a new angle of the band that we have yet to see. Simple Plan has stepped out of their comfort zone to make a record that includes 11 tracks destined to become radio anthems. Listening to the record, we are reminded of what makes this band so good. The distinct vocals of Pierre Bouvier bring life to the catchy lyrics of every song. Though this record sounds slightly different than what we are used to hearing from the group, leaning slightly more towards a pop album rather than the usual label of “pop-punk”, it does not disappoint. It has been a while since we have heard anything from Simple Plan therefore it is reasonable to expect a really well put together record, and that is what we have received.
